Pleasant memory: My ex-boyfriend ordered TimeWarner cable for the apartment we shared for six months after I graduated college. After we had a really nasty break up and he moved out, he left the cable box that neither of us planned on using. He told me to return it to TimeWarner. I didn’t feel like that was really my job, so I didn’t. Not returning a TimeWarner cable box is really bad news....

betweenthemarcelandme: (via agentmichaelscarn) As a college student I think of all monetary spendings in how much I could eat at taco bell. Do you know how many 89 cents 5 layer burritos I could get with that much money? I’d be a king. My own Taco Bell is a taco-ria up the street, where burritos are $4. The dress I bought yesterday was 9 burritos. Worth it? Oh, yes. (Especially since if I ate...

meltzer: I have a real clog problem. I own seven pairs, as of this writing. It’s sick and I need to cut back, but jesus christ this design your own clog site just blew my mind. You can have, like, a yellow base with a purple upper. I’m dying, I’m dead. A reminder from Marisa on the continuing awesomeness (and expensiveness) of clogs.

Milan's Tumblr Blog: Coffee as a new monetary unit →
I have come to realize that I can more easily justify smaller purchases by equating them to how many cups of coffee it equals. One example: Grooveshark’s VIP service will only set me back one cup of coffee per month. I could give up one cup of coffee a month for streaming music on my phone,… This is a pretty brilliant money-spending/money-saving technique. (Need more...

My dad gets a free car! (Actually, not free)
janetpaskin: I got the following email from my dad yesterday: Hola Janet. Yesterday turned out to be a busy day. We got a brand new car- a 2010 VW Jetta- for FREE!  We went out just to test drive the car- and the salesman told us about a special deal on a lease- 0 down , VW paid the licensing fees and the first month’s payment- so we have to pay 239 per month plus sales tax of 23 per month for...
